Here it is, six weeks after getting my block and heads from the machine shop, and I still don’t have one piston in the block. The cam and crank are in and I am about ready to put the 1st piston in, find TDC and degree the cam.

I decided on a different set of springs, some with a little more pressure. The old springs checked out good, but have been in for about 125 runs, and 2.5 years.

I am thinking about a set of shaft rockers, but I would need about another 6-8 weeks to get them ($$$$). At this point, I don’t have any particular event to get ready for, I might just wait and get them. AFR suggested Jessel or Corwer shaft (stand), model V2, rockers. Both brands are at the top of the food chain. These would not require any additional machining to fit on my AFR 357 Magnum heads.
There is not a lot of motivation to finish the engine quick, with the weather, too hot, and COVID Delta Veriant.
I find it hard to believe people are scared to get the Covid shot, while others are politically not wanting to get the shot, and others believe it is a hoax. Many of those people would rather die, or get very, very sick, than take the shot.  My real concern is, 95%-98%, is not 100%. I still wear my mask, try to social distance and try very hard not to get into crowds (no church meetings in person). We order and pick up or cook at home. We also pray a lot to be kept Covid free. Barbara and myself have had our 2 shots!

God Bless Us, All Over The World!🙏🏾🏁
