I learned a lot from my trip to the track on Friday night. I had originally planned to go on Sunday to the T & T, but decided I would like a little real competition. Some things can only be learned or experienced in real battle.

My delay box, while doing everything it needs to do, does not have a light for the keypad. This is normally not a problem, but at night, in the heat of battle, with gloves on, it is a challenge. I lost in the first round, mainly because I broke out, but I also had a bad light due to not being able to get the right numbers in the box for my opponent.

When you go up to run and your opponent is a dragster, who expects to leave last against a dragster? My numbers had to be changed quickly and that I could not do.

My challenge this week is to get a flashlight for the keypad, or to mount one of those LED lights above the keypad.

I spent a lot of time removing decals from my trailer yesterday. Today I finished painting the front of my trailer. It is came out good. I will do the back next then tackle the sides.
